  If you need your ducts cleaned, stop searching. Better Air Northwest's work is excellent, and their friendly customer service is some of the best our family has ever seen from any company.
Our technicians, Justin and Bo, arrived on time and got to work right away. They explained what they were going to do and invited me to watch them if I desired (I didn't). I then got periodic updates on their progress.
We have owned our home for 27 years, and (gulp!) had never had our air ducts cleaned. They had a big job, and did it efficiently, providing us with before and after photos of what they'd done. He also showed us the filter he was going to use before he started the process, and then showed it again afterward. We had a LOT of dirt in our ducts, but no longer.
Along with cleaning our home's heating ducts, we also asked that they clean our dryer vent. Upon inspection, they discovered that the dryer duct was disconnected in two places, and was laying on the ground in our crawl space. Justin cheerfully said "No problem," put on a full-body suit, went into the crawl space and reattached the dryer duct in both spots. At no additional charge.
When finished, they cleaned up after themselves really well. It was an excellent experience. We highly recommend Better Air Northwest!

  Justin, Bo and their crew provided me with an exceptional service that exceeded way beyond my expectation.  After the crew performed a pressure diagnostic, a leakage was detected and Justin asked if he could check the condition of the duct underneath the house.  What I didn’t' expect was that he wore a protective work suit and crawled into the tight and dirty space under the house and sure enough, he located corroded duct with holes along with a damaged elbow and dislocated joints.  Justin devised a temporary remedy by taping around the corroded duct for a replacement scheduled for a later date.
I have rashes on my skin in winter each year and I suspected the skin problem was attributed to the quality of air coming from the heat duct.  With dislocated duct joints and holes, not to mentioned the rodent droppings Justin found around the duct, no wonder I have been having the skin problems.

  I utilized BAN at my business about 4 years ago, and was thoroughly impressed, so it was a no brainer to have them service my home. They cleaned the ducts, scoured the metal at the top of each register, removed and washed the return vent covers, and even vacuumed the floors around the registers. Also cleaned out my dryer vent and picked up the lint from the flower bed and took away all of the trash. Techs were super professional and friendly and fun to interact with.

  Hands down, the best customer service from any service business I have ever used in Portland - maybe any city. We have used their services 3 times - all great, all professional. This last time, something went wrong with our unit after they serviced it. It is impossible to say if their technicians caused it or it was a coincidence, but Matt (owner?) took full responsibility and scheduled a tech from a service company to come and take a look at it. We thought it was going to be as simple fix, but it ended up that the fan needed to be replaced. Matt kept their word and is taking care of it. This is how you run a business.   Eric and Gustavo were GREAT!   They were efficient, on time and very informative!   They went out of their way to repair a duct that was broken in several places in the crawl space!   Totally kept everything clean and dust free.   I would absolutely recommend this company!
